We propose a demonstration of the
Web Coverage Processing Service (WCPS) standard to showcase ad-hoc navigation, processing, and analysis of multi-dimensional raster data. WCPS, which defines a raster processing language (aka "SQL for coverages"), currently has a binding for WCS, a WPS Application Profile is under work in sync with WPS 2.0 progress.
At the
EarthLook site, a demo similar to the one proposed is being developed. As this demo only makes sense with substantial data volumes (at least a few 100 GB) it may be difficult to obtain hardware sponsored to put it into a VM for travelling. As a fallback we propose to link to
EarthLook instead, but of course we will be happy to install the demo on a suitable machine.
