Quality of Service and Experience DWG meeting 9th January 2018
The Quality of Service and Experience (QoSE DWG) regular online meeting will be held on 9th January 2018 at 15h UTC
1. Approval of the minutes of the last meeting (held on 14th November)
2. Motion to recommend TC to publish the QoE Discussion Paper
Decide to start the DWG email vote for approving the following motion:
"Quality of Service and Experience DWG recommends that the OGC Technical Committee release the document 'Ensuring Quality of User Experience with OGC Web Mapping Services Discussion Paper' (OGC 17-049) as an OGC Discussion Paper pending final edits and review by the OGC staff."
A "No Objection" type email vote starts on 9th Jan 2018 at 17 UTC and will end on 23rd Jan 2018 at 17 UTC after two weeks of voting time.
Quoting the OGC PnP:
"No Objection vote: an email vote may consist of a request to the group members for any objection to unanimous consent. Voters with no objection to the ballot do not need to email the chair or reply to the vote announcement. Should there be an objection, the vote will be paused and the objection discussed in the reflector or in a meeting. If the objection is addressed to the satisfaction of the objecting party, the vote will continue for the number of days remaining in the vote from the date at which the vote was paused. If the objection is not removed, then the vote will restart as either a Hand vote (see 2 above) or a portal e-vote.
The final version of document shall be posted to the Pending Documents (if further changes necessary) before the three-week deadline of the Orleans TC meeting on 26th February 2018 in order for the TC to decide about it's release in the Closing Plenary of the Orleans TC meeting.
The intention of the document editors is the continue improving the document contents as part of the Testbed 14 activities, and to eventually get the revised, publicly reviewed document approved as an OGC Best Practice.
The latest version of the paper is posted into Pending documents: https://portal.opengeospatial.org/files/?artifact_id=77148&version=1
